Custom Design Appointment
How Our Process Works
- Initial Consultation & Inspiration: Discuss your ideas with Tam, sharing inspirational images and design elements you like. This helps define your vision.
- Design Concept: Tam will create a design concept, either as a sketch or a computer-generated image, showing the overall design, materials, and gemstones. You'll give feedback and request changes.
- CAD Rendering: A detailed 3D rendering is created using computer-aided design (CAD) software. This provides a realistic view of the final product, including dimensions. You can review the design in 3D and make up to 3 further adjustments.
- Casting: A wax model is used to create a mold, and molten metal is poured in to form the ring.
- Setting and Finishing: The center stone is placed, and the ring is polished, engraved (if desired), and finished with any textures or patinas. The final product is inspected to ensure it meets quality standards.
Custom Design Policies
We take pride in our artisanal process and the dedicated time required to create your custom jewelry. To maintain our high standards and continue providing personalized service, we adhere to the following policies regarding our design process and returns.
- Revision Limit: Your design consultation includes three (3) rounds of design revisions. This allows us to fine-tune your vision.
- Additional Design Fees: Any requests for revisions beyond the initial three rounds will require a new Design Fee to account for additional CAD (Computer-Aided Design) development and labor time.
- CAD Approval: Once a CAD model is approved, the design is considered locked. Changing a stone selection after CAD approval will require a new design fee to restart the technical modeling process.
- Non-Refundable Design Deposits: All design deposits are non-refundable. This fee covers the initial labor, expertise, and time invested in your project. If a client chooses to discontinue the project after the design phase has begun, this deposit compensates for the work already performed.
A note on ring sizing:
Getting the correct ring size is one of the most important steps before we begin production. Because each ring is custom made to order, I’m unable to resize rings once they’re completed — unless there’s been a production error on our end.
To ensure a perfect fit, I highly recommend confirming your ring size before we start your order. You can do this by visiting a local jewelry store for a professional measurement, or by using a reliable at-home ring sizer. I’ve linked my favorite one here on Amazon for your convenience.
Taking a few extra minutes to double-check your size ensures that your ring fits beautifully and saves time and cost later on.
